An original Kar Studio piece, the curvature of the backrest on the High Back Chair has been modified multiple times to achieve an ideal sitting posture. Not only the backrest but other elements of the chair have also been meticulously refined: all corners are rounded, the two front legs taper from top to bottom, and both ends of the seat curve slightly upwards. Each of these details reflects Kar Studio's aesthetic philosophy.

'With the brand name “kar”, we hint at our inner pursuit in the oriental philosophy of “karma”, which relies on the power of time, nature, and interpersonal relations. We try to convey our view on beauty and values through the external expressions of furniture, space, objects, and lifestyles. We embrace causality and emotions through the process of our creations, gradually marching forward to the truth and essence of all things. By reinventing the traditions, we endeavour to create an artistic language which connects with the past and echoes with the present.
